At Glyder, we believe that we have a responsibility as a company to do our part to protect our planet. That's why we have launched an ambitious four-step process to implement sustainable initiatives covering all aspects of our business.
A huge part of our mission includes holding ourselves accountable and reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible. We have partnered with Climate Neutral to measure, offset, and reducethe carbon we emit. Through Climate Neutral we are have received our official emission estimate, and we are comitted to neutralizing our footprint by contributing to carbon eliminating and avoiding organizations through climate credits. We are also implementing a reduction action plan to further minimize the carbon footprint of our business over the next two years.
A GREEENER EARTH
In our continued pursuit to achieve a sustainable future, Glyder is excited to announce that we have teamed up with Eden Reforestation Projects to restore forests on a massive scale by planting trees in various nations around the world.
Eden Project's tree planting initiatives have impacted the environment in a positive way and in the process have helped millions of people living in poverty by providing them with employment opportunities. We are thrilled to be a part of their program by donating quarterly to their reforestation projects in Central America, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Haiti, Madagascar, and Nepal. Beginning April 1st, 2021 we will have contributed enough to plant 12,500 trees, and will have planted 50,000 trees by the end of 2021. We will continue this contribution each year and plan to increase our impact as we move forward with our parternship.
Eco-friendly fabrics that make you feel good in mind, body, and spirit. Glyder has undertaken an aggressive stance to use sustainable materials in our products, and we are excited to announce that we are developing leggings with ECONYL© fibers. ECONYL© regenerated nylon is made from recovering nylon waste - sush as fishing nets from aquaculture and the oceans, fabric scraps from mills, and carpets destined for landfills - and turning it into virgin quality nylon yarn.
We are in the process of researching and developing new fabrics made from recycled and organic materials, and plan to greatly expand our range of products made with these Earth-conscious practices.
